LIIFT4 Mid-Program Results!

Yikes. It’s crazy to think that we’ve been at this program for 4 weeks already. The time has seriously flown by, but I guess that happens when you’re only working out 4 days a week instead of 6-7!

Before the big reveal–I want to talk a little about my thoughts on this program. Now I’m trying my best to be un-biased, but as a coach, I can’t say with 100% that I’m not at least a little biased because all of our programs are AMAZING.

With that said, I also know that every single one of our programs isn’t something that is going to be for everyone. There are programs that I’ve tried and just not really meshed with, and that doesn’t mean they don’t work and give other people kick-ass results, it just means that they aren’t really my jam. I’ve decided that if I’m going to be taking time out of my day each day to exercise, I want it to be something that I really and truly feel great about doing.

So down to the nitty gritty, I was a little nervous heading into LIIFT4, because I had never done a program before that focused on heavy lifting. To set the stage, I’m about 188 pounds at the time I’m writing this entry, so I have about 30-35 pounds that I’d really like to lose, and I was worried that by working through a lifting program I wasn’t going to see that weight loss that is really critical to my body for truly being in “good health”.

So here I am, 4 weeks into LIIFT4–at the half way point, and the scale isn’t really moving (I’ve lost about 2-3 lbs depending on the day), BUT I’m noticing huge changes everywhere else.

Inches are flying off. Previously hard-to-tone spots are lifting and tightening (i.e. slowly losing that lower belly mom-pooch and the back boobs hahahaha), and for the first time probably in my whole life I have major definition in my arms which is huge for me!

I haven’t felt like I’m on a diet. I’ve never felt “guilty” about having a treat or a cheat (hellooooo wine and chocolate), and I love that I don’t feel like the program is consuming my whole entire life. The nutrition is simple and easy to follow. It’s also easy to prep ahead for, and the mid-week rest day is not only needed, but it’s such a nice breath of fresh air in the middle of super busy weeks.

 

Overall, I feel like this is an excellent program for anyone who really wants to dig in and start making changes, but won’t be discouraged if they don’t see the number on the scale going down. This is really a program that forces you to trust the process more than the numbers, and I feel confident in saying that the progress I’m seeing physically and mentally is 100% worth waiting and believing in.
