What is 10 Rounds?

  1. 30-40 minute workouts, 5 days a week (program length: 6 weeks)

In 10 Rounds, Joel shows you how every single hit begins at your feet, engages through your hips, intensifies as you twist your core, and explodes in your punch!

You do not need a boxing bag! Instead, you will be doing it the way real boxers learn — shadowboxing!! The boxing workouts focus on 10 rounds that are 3 minutes each. You’ll focus on punching combinations and footwork that will progress over the 6 weeks.

My 10 Rounds Journey

10 Rounds was a really special program for me. It came to me at the perfect time–when all of us have stress, worry, and frustrations to workout while dealing with COVID-19 and the mass sweeping changes and effects that it has had on everyone. There was no better way to work those frustrations out in a healthy way, than through boxing!

During Week 2 of the program, after many months of tests and doctor’s appointments, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Thyroid.

This came on the heels of nearly two years of following daily workouts and a solid and proven nutritional plan, but consistently not seeing lasting results, so it was a huge sigh of relief to have an answer. Then came falling into the rabbit hole of research related to Hashimoto’s and how bio-diverse nutrition (meaning niched down specifically for ME) can begin to heal the root cause of autoimmune flares and inflammation.

I began to learn that not all healthy foods are healthy for someone with an autoimmune disease; That foods that are healthy for someone with Hashimoto’s may not be healthy for someone ELSE with Hashimoto’s. My Doctor also started me on a low dose thyroid medication and high dose Vitamin D capsules, because my Vitamin D levels were severely depleted.

All of that led to me being able to begin making small changes. Those changes feel like they’re leading to big results again!!!

Wrapping Things Up

10 Rounds may not have been a major “weight loss” success for me, but weight loss is rarely quick or easy with an autoimmune thyroid. It did prepare me mentally to take on this new fight, though! The mentality created showed me that you don’t stop fighting until the final bell rings. It opened the doors for a whole new beginning and an entirely new and uncharted healthy journey for me.

It was about so much more than a number of the scale, or a number of inches gone. 10 Rounds was about being in control again, and that’s an amazing feeling! This program was a new beginning.
